I am enjoying it so far. The flexibility to choose your deck whenever you want is amazing. I did have one issue with the screws not being long enough to easily change the deck but I got it figured out.
I am not being paid for this and never do I give my experience for anything purchased. Little about me, I'm 52 years old and weigh 330lb. I read that it was tested at 250lb so I decided to go with the 4X4 extended batteries so it has the best chance of pulling me. I did not need the 4X4 because this thing has so much power. If you were 450lbs it would still pull you. The control you have from taking off to breaking can all be manipulated from the remote through settings quickly and easily. Yesterday I rode it home from work and it was really fast and smooth. I think this company should be doing more advertising and get the word out. I took it to my local skate shop and they showed me how it would look on different boards and I selected a longboard. He said it was a simple install and if I wanted him to do it he wouldn't charge me since I bought the board from him. I gave him $60 anyways because the way it's packed a bullet couldn't go through it. Since then I've come up with an idea of fitting it on a little car with handles for my young nephews where they can lean to control it. This company has a great product and I'll be buying another couple of sets from them soon. The customer service is great. I emailed them asking when to expect it and how long should I let the batteries charge for and they responded same day. This company should be giving incentives for skate shops to get the word out sell them.
I purchased the dual set..I've only used the 2wd setup and so far im supper satisfied..worth every penny
Understandably it took a while to ship, and Revel said they would upgrade the wheels for free, but the kit still came with the stocks and haven’t heard back from them yet. The kit itself is great though. Only issues I have are the weight (can’t carry it very far at all) and the stock wheels aren’t amazing for anything other than very small cracks. Would recommend the kit and some larger wheels for sure!
The Revel Kit is really nice because it allows you to easily change your setup from one deck to the next depending on what you are skating and you can easily do the same with he wheels and the bushings. Add on some Shredlights and you can skate day and night. I believe top speed is lower than they claim but it’s still very fast. The extended battery has a great range and I easy can hit 10 mile cruises without issue. I would like to see a cover for the remote because it’s easily scratched if you take a spill but otherwise it’s a great kit. The downside is their communication and the fact that they continue to push the 3 weeks to delivery but when it’s really gonna take more like 7-8 weeks. Sure there’s a pandemic but claiming 3 weeks is just not honest. Otherwise a fine company and a fine product.
