From the days of boom boxes and Walkman's to skate videos and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater soundtracks, skating and music have always gone together. Though today it looks more like screens and Spotify, mixtapes are still as meaningful as ever.
Here are a few of our favorite electric skateboarding soundtracks. Find one to suit your mood and let it be the background to your next ride or skate video.
Inspired by surf skating style, we've put these songs together to capture the feeling of a hot desert sun and exploring the open road on the search for concrete waves.
This playlist was born in celebration of International Women's Day, featuring songs by female artists whose strength and badassery we love to channel while skating.
Inspired by the flower power of spring, we went looking for jams that are both funky and fresh. This mix is the perfect pick-me-up that will make you want to pick up your board too.
Got a favorite song, band or genre you love to listen to while on a board—electric or otherwise? Add them to our collaborative playlist.
]]>If you’re a tinkerer with some knowledge or desire to learn about electronics, there’s nothing like the sense of accomplishment that comes from a large build like this.
There are plenty of YouTube tutorials and electric skateboard DIY plans available across the internet and a massive community of other builders across forums like Reddit for support.
Be aware that building from scratch can require soldering, programming, 3D printing and above all—time. When you account for research and shipping for parts, letting paint coats dry and getting your board in working order, a project like this could take at least a week or more. Depending on who you are, that can be a pro or a con. Here are a few more:
Pros:
Cons:
There is some middle ground if you want to be able to see under the hood, mess with wires and get more hands-on with your build while still feeling like you can stick to an instruction manual of sorts.
There are plenty of hobby DIY electric skateboard kits out there that come with all the parts you need. You get the security of knowing all the parts are meant to play well together, however assembling all of the pieces of the puzzle is still up to you.
With some patience and concentration, a DIY kit like this can take you around 1-3 hours or more.
Pros:
Cons:
A quick and easy solution to wanting to customize an electric skateboard is to get a pre-built bolt-on kit. All you need is a deck. Then you can mount the kit to get a DIY electric skateboard in about 5 minutes.
A direct drive system like the Revel Kit is as easy as installing a pair of trucks while still being able to customize the most recognizable parts of a skateboard: the deck and wheels.
Pros:
Cons:
Can you make a normal skateboard electric?
Yes. Any regular skateboard or longboard deck can be turned electric. How you want to go about electrifying it is up to you. With an easy conversion kit like the Revel Kit, you can turn almost any deck into an electric skateboard in about five minutes with the ability to customize your wheels and more. If you’re looking for more customization than that, you could build an electric skateboard from scratch.
What parts do you need to build an electric skateboard?
For a quick DIY, all you need is a deck and the Revel Kit. The box comes with all you need like trucks, wheels, charger, battery, remote and more.
If you’re building from scratch, the list gets a bit longer. Here’s an example electric skateboard parts list for a typical dual belt-drive street board:
Is it easy to make an electric skateboard?
If you use an electric skateboard kit to DIY an electric skateboard, it can be as easy as turning a screwdriver to attach an electric system to any board and get riding in about 5 minutes.
Building an electric skateboard from scratch is a little more difficult process but can be very rewarding.
How long does it take to DIY an electric skateboard?
Depending on your build and the time on your hands, it could either take 5 minutes or much longer. For a full DIY, take into account the time it takes for wiring, soldering and programming, even painting or customizing the deck itself.
If you want your board to be on the road instead of on a workbench (or in parts on your living room floor), the Revel Kit could be your easiest and most reliable DIY electric skateboard option. There are unlimited ways to customize it by mixing and matching wheels, trucks, bushings, decks and more. (For inspiration, check out some of our customers' builds.)
And if you feel the creative urge to customize a board, you're sure to feel it again. Avoid sinking time and money into building eskates over and over again. When you want to switch up your setup and style, it should be almost as easy as changing your shoes. With the Revel Kit, it is.

After all, time and convenience are usually of the essence when it comes to commuting. However, it might be easier than you think. It could even shorten the time of your trip by avoiding traffic.
If your commute is longer than average, you can still cut emissions by partially commuting by electric skateboard. Taking public transit or driving halfway and parking, then skating for the last half of your commute still means a more sustainable journey.
You don’t need to stop at your commute when it comes to cutting emissions with an electric skateboard. Think about all the short trips you take around town to meet friends, run errands and more. You can even bring your board with you while traveling by air or car, then using it to get around once you reach your destination. You can take your board instead of Ubers or rental cars, because even if it isn’t your car, it still guzzles gas and adds tailpipe emissions. When you get creative, the miles traveled by electric skateboard can all add up significantly.
Especially with an electric skateboard with the option to swap batteries along your journey, your range and freedom from creating carbon emissions can expand dramatically.
The rise in micro mobility like electric skateboards is not just a trend. Whether you’re on an ebike, escooter or electric skateboard, any trips taken on one of these contributes to less pollution and congestion on roads, leading to less traffic and cars idling on the road.
A recent study says that carbon emissions could be reduced by 12 percent if just 15 percent of urban transportation miles traveled were instead made by e-bike.
Being that eskates are smaller than ebikes with little difference in average range, the actual numbers for emissions saved by electric skateboarding can be even higher.
While all of these battery-powered ways of getting around are not charged without consuming energy, data on electric cars shows that in every corner of the United States, driving an EV produces significantly fewer greenhouse gas emissions than cars powered only by gasoline, regardless of the local power mix. And electric skateboards only use a small fraction of the energy it takes to charge an electric car.
One electric skateboard rider, Will O'Connor, has done the math on his Revel Kit:
"I’ve mapped out my mileage if I drove vs. taking the board. I have a pretty efficient hybrid so I get 55MPG driving, or on my commute of 11 miles round trip use 0.2gal gas, or about 4lbs CO2 per day. I have the extended range board and can just make it to and from on one 216Wh charge.
My electric supply is ComEd with 947.6 lbs CO2 per 1000kWh in a recent analysis. Therefore I only use 0.20 lbs CO2 to charge my board, or only 5% of the CO2 vs. driving. And that’s with a 55MPG hybrid! And it’s fun as hell to ride!"
Plus, average EV emissions have continued to decline over time thanks to accelerating coal plant closures and the decarbonization of America’s power sector. So while burning gasoline won’t get much cleaner, using electric-powered vehicles can get cleaner every year.
Sure, less emissions come from walking or riding a regular skateboard, longboard or bicycle. But if you’re like most people, you probably need to cover more distance and get there faster than is doable on foot, or a regular board or bike. Instead of showing up to your destination late, sweaty and exhausted without the boost of a battery, let’s be honest, you might be more likely to end up just taking your car anyway.
These trips are exactly what electric skateboards were made for. To make riding actually more convenient than driving, not less. Save your energy, time in traffic, money on gas, frustration of parking, and most importantly—help save the environment.
Among reasons to make an electric skateboard your next electric vehicle, sustainability could be one of the most important. However, it’s also a great way to destress and get active, cut costs, and simply—have more fun.

]]>Whether it’s a first date, double date or a self care day for those who are flying solo, choosing the right gear and setting are key for a memorable time. Here are our tips for planning any skate date.
If you each have your own boards, make it BYOB (bring your own board). If one of you are new to skateboarding and without a board, having the other bring an extra can be good. But even if you only have one board between the two of you, that’s enough to have some fun trading off while teaching and doing tricks, or even attempting to ride tandem.
For those newer to board riding, a longboard can be the best choice for a mellow introduction to cruising around. If you plan to choose a spot and stay close by, more traditional skateboards can be fun for a game of SKATE.
If you want to travel a longer distance, a pair of electric skateboards are the perfect choice for taking a scenic, romantic ride and exploring effortlessly.
All you really need are your boards to have a good time, but here are some other essentials you can fit in a backpack while riding:
Long walks on the beach are a cliché for a reason. Going anywhere in nature or with a view is a classic choice for any date. But when you add skateboarding into the mix, you can make it unique and even more fun.
Head to a path or park near you with the best view of your city, coastline, hills or whatever your local landscape looks like. Bonus points if you go around sunset or golden hour for extra ambiance.
Or go out without a specific destination in mind and enjoy the journey, taking any interesting stops along the way.
Electric skateboarding can also expand the distance you’re able to explore or the terrain you’re able to skate through like grass or a dirt path.
No matter where you go, remember to keep safety in mind. (See bullet one in the last section.)
This is pretty standard dating advice, but it applies to skateboarding too. Have fun, laugh off any falls and get out of your comfort zone. No matter where you go or what boards you’re riding, going for a skateboarding date is bound to bring two people closer together, whether it's your first date or 15th anniversary.
]]>Whether it’s for wellness, productivity or to cure writer’s block, research shows taking breaks works wonders. It also shows that movement is key.
Taking a walk is good. But we think taking a skate break is better. At the Revel office in San Diego, we are big proponents of the daily skate break.
It’s too easy to let the day go by, meaning to take a break but forgetting to actually do it. Set a reminder or put it on your calendar, but make sure you get out and get on a board.
One of the best parts about skating is that you can do it almost anywhere if you get creative. Whether you’re riding in a parking lot, parking garage, across campus, down the street or down the driveway, you can gain the benefits of skating.
Even if only for a few minutes, skating is a tried and true remedy to slow down time and take a mental vacation no matter where you are. We bet you’ll return with more energy, creativity, a shifted perspective and a better mood at the end.
Another way to get your daily skate in is rethinking your transportation. Commuting to work or school on your skateboard can be the perfect bookends on your day. It will save you money, help cut emissions and put some joy in your day.
Of course, not everyone lives within perfect skating distance of the places they need to go. But even if you can’t manage your entire commute on your board, you could always try to park a little further or get off public transportation a few stops earlier and skate the last mile or so.
An electric skateboard can also help you go further with less effort. You can enjoy the ride without breaking a sweat, arriving at your destination feeling and still looking fresh.
If you switch up your setup, you can switch up your life. It’s okay to go though skate phases. In fact, it can be necessary to keep you obsessed with all that skating has to offer.
So, skate something new this year. If you normally ride street skateboards, enjoy the simplicity of coasting and carving on a longboard or cruiser. If you’re a longboarder, try something more traditional. Maybe this is the year you master a kickflip.
If you usually ride any of these types of boards manually, try an electric skateboard and enjoy the speed and freedom from kick pushing. You can easily DIY an electric skateboard conversion with something like the Revel Kit. Just take your deck of choice (likely one you already own), attach the kit like a pair of trucks and get riding. You can swap it out at any time with a variety of decks or wheels to keep things interesting.
And if you usually ride an eSkate, try going back to a regular board. Though we love our own custom electric skateboards at Revel, there’s nothing like going back to one of our old favorite traditional boards that originally made us fall in love with skating.
There’s nothing wrong with a solo skate session, but there’s a lot to be said for having someone (or a crew) to ride with. With a skate partner you can double the fun, keep each other accountable and cheer each other on.
Don’t already have a go-to ride or die? Maybe this is the year you teach someone else how to skate or join a meetup.
To help make sure you can keep riding for many more years to come, make safety a priority this year. If you can skate safer, you can skate longer.
Yes, that means wearing a helmet. They get cooler and cooler every year. But don’t stop there. Wear your protective gear and pads more often too. Especially when speed is involved.
Another important habit you can make this year—stretch more before and after sessions.
These are small things, but can make all the difference in manifesting a year without injury.
January first doesn’t have a monopoly on setting goals and resolutions. You can make them at any time. So, set your goals and stay stoked however you can. Because while another year may have passed, riding a board makes you feel younger and makes life simpler. No matter what lies ahead of us in 2022, skating will always be there.
]]>Nothing says you care about someone like getting them a helmet. Safety is always more stylish than an injury, but it also doesn't hurt when head protection is getting a lot more stylish these days.
This helmet from Thousand is one of our favorites. Plus, you can personalize your gift and add a monogram for an extra $12-$15.
Thousand Bike and Skate Helmet
We are loving Magneto's range of board shapes and graphics recently. If the person on your list doesn't already have a deck but wants an electric setup, this might be a good place to start for the full package. It's also beginner-friendly.
Plus, with the Revel Kit, they can swap the deck anytime they want as they explore their preferences and advance through different riding styles.
For those that already have a deck or two lying around, or for the regular skater who usually pushes their board with their feet, the Revel Kit by itself is a great choice.
We've never heard of a skater that couldn't admit that electric skateboarding is a heck of a lot of fun—even if it's just for commuting to work, school or to the skatepark to save some energy in between regular skate sessions.
Changing out wheels is one of the most fun ways to experiment with how a skate setup rides—and how it looks. While many riders have their go-to preferences for daily riding, it's fun to have extras for switching it up every once in a while.
Here are some of our favorite wheels that are compatible with the Revel Kit:
This is a good one for the downhill skaters or for those who like a lot of speed. An armored shirt like this one from LAZYROLLING can help them avoid bumps, scrapes and injuries without sticking out with a lot of extra padding.
Bonus: We think this hoodie can easily be personalized too. We see some prime real estate for a custom look with a patch or two.
For night riders, these also about doing safety in style. These lights are easy to attach to trick out a deck or a Revel Kit to light up the night and be seen.
Shred Lights Skateboard Single Pack
Bushings are the rubbery cups that fit around the large pin on skateboard trucks. They assist in allowing the board to turn and pivot smoothly.
Everyone can appreciate a fresh set of bushings. Especially when they're from premium urethane. If the skater in your life is riding old bushings or likes trying different feels, get them this easy upgrade. They will notice the difference and thank you.
Here are some options:
If the skateboarder or longboarder you're shopping for has any interest at all in surfing, they're going to have fun with a set of Waterborne Surf Adapters.
The Waterborne adapters attach to a pair of trucks and allow you to carve more and move like you would on a wave.
Plus, they can be used on the Revel Kit too.
One of the perks of the Revel Kit is its swappable battery. Getting someone a spare to keep in their backpack means that they can go on longer rides without having to stop and recharge. Instead, they can swap for a full battery in about as much time as it would take them to tie their shoes.
Revel Kit Standard Range Battery Pack
Electric skateboarders who ride to work or school can also find this spare part handy. When they have a charger for home and for the place they commute to, they can be sure to recharge during the day and make sure they have plenty of battery to take the long way home.
3A Fast Charger & Charging Dock
Socks are a big joke around the holidays, but trust us when we say anyone who skates would actually appreciate some stylish crew socks with cool graphics or the logo of a favorite brand.
Not only do riders wear through socks (and shoes) faster than your average person, nothing completes a look like a pair of socks. Especially when all the action of skating is within this eye-level.
People who like to skate and longboard love the simple things in life. All they want to do is ride. Along with the suggestions above, a new pair of headphones, clothes and shoes from their favorite skate brands or even picking up a handful of assorted stickers from your local skate shop are bound to make any boarder happy.
But for those who love the joy of the journey and customization, the Revel Kit and the freedom it brings can be one of the best gifts they've ever received.
]]>Take advantage of these 5 quick tips to keep your Revel Kit running smoothly, so you can keep the adventure going. Your Revel Kit is an investment, after all!
Clean dust and dirt regularly, starting with a damp cloth, then finishing with a dry cloth. Thoroughly wipe down the kit, motors, battery, and deck.
We also recommend demounting the kit from your deck and wiping down the top of the kit and the area where your kit sits. Dust and dirt can easily build up here, and this spot can easily be overlooked.
Check and tighten all hardware and screws every 30 to 50 miles / 50 to 80 km (or after every off-road ride). Loose nuts, bolts, and screws can quickly lead to accelerated wear and cause a majority of funky noises that your kit may be making.
When tightening screws and bolts, we recommend hand tightening, as opposed to using a power tool.
Here is a checklist to make it easy:
Complete this pre-ride inspection to keep yourself safe and ensure that you have the best ride possible.
Regularly replace your bearings, pivot cups and bushings for a quiet, smooth, and responsive ride! We encourage our Revel Riders to experiment, customize, and upgrade these components to create a ride that is unique to their riding style.
When inspecting your kit, if you discover a broken piece, contact our customer service team through live chat, or through our Contact Us Page.
While our kit is rated at IP54 (water & dust resistant), we recommend avoiding riding in wet conditions at all times.

While there are many different types of remotes out there, the electric skateboard industry has adopted and popularized the "thumb wheel" style remotes.
While there is nothing wrong with this remote design, the Revel Team believed there was something better...so they got to work designing what you see today!
Intuitive. Comfortable. Precise. These words were the foundation for the Revel Remote's linear throttle design. At the time, this remote design was new and controversial (something we liked) and still is few and far between today.
Intuitive - While riding your electric skateboard, having a remote that you can use naturally is critical. With the widespread use of thumb wheel remotes, it was clear the ergonomics and movement was accepted by the electric skateboard community, so we wanted to imitate that movement in a similar way.
Comfortable - Not only is an intuitive remote important, but making it comfortable was also a top priority. Utilizing a sleek "stick" style design, we found that this simple shape fits better in most hands.
We also found that button placement was a huge issue for thumb wheel remotes. Awkwardly placed on the side of the remote, with some models not utilizing display screens, we knew this had to be changed. Our display screen and buttons are placed front and center for easy access and readability. A quick glance at our remote will tell you want you want to know.
Precise - The biggest advantage with our linear throttle remote is the smooth precision you get from accelerating and braking. We found that most riders only make minor adjustments while riding, so we took on the challenge to create a remote that allows you to fine tune your ride.
Adjusting for that perfect speed or braking just enough to zip around the corner safely? Only our remote gives you the precision you need. We also decided that cruise control would be a nice feature to add. You're welcome.

Your creativity. And the Revel Kit's versatility for customization.
After settling for unoriginal products with a lack of personalization, we decided that all riders should be given the proper platform to inspire creativity and forge a truly unique electric skateboarding experience.
After years of designing, tinkering, and testing, the Revel Kit was introduced. We pride ourselves on having the most customizable and versatile electric skateboard kit on the market.
Let's face it. You like to stand out. Your clothes, hairstyle, and home décor are all personalized to you. Why not treat your e-skate experience the same way?
Skating is all about expressing yourself. No one rides like you do. Your board shouldn't be like anyone else's either.
Make your vision a reality with the only electric skateboard that gives you the power to switch decks, wheels, bearings, bushings and more for a setup that's unique to you.
Change your mind or want to switch it up? No problem. The Revel Kit has endless possibilities so you never have to settle for the same old board every time you ride.
When you join the club, you'll instantly be welcomed into a community that consistently inspires other Revelers with their setups. Below are some pictures submitted by our riders to help you see what's possible.
]]>A large part of this growing industry is the use of electric vehicles in urban environments, hence the popularization of car alternatives. Electric skateboards, along with other types of vehicles, are leading this revolution.
Here are our top 4 reasons why an electric skateboard should be your first (or next) electric vehicle:
According to a report from Texas A&M, the average American wastes an extra 50 hours of their life stuck in traffic. Skip rush hour with an electric skateboard and don't waste another second in traffic.
Public Transportation is also a popular way of commuting, however, most don't realize how slow buses and rail transit can be! According to this article, the average speed of rail transit is 21.5/mph and the average speed of bus transit is 14.1/mph.
With the Revel Kit, a top speed of 28/mph easily outpaces public transportation.
"What about range?" Great question. The Revel Kit also features a swappable battery system that allows you to continue your ride stress-free (and avoid the charging stations).
Did you know buying an electric skateboard can actually save you money?
The US Energy Information Administration estimates the average household will spend around $2,000 annually on gasoline.
Another big hassle with cars are the insurance and maintenance cost. AAA estimates the average cost of owning a car is about $6,354 annually.
In addition to gasoline and maintenance costs, the average amount spent on ride share services per month is around $100.
Investing in an electric skateboard can help you cut costs, save time at the pump, and keep your wallet full.
One thing that makes electric skateboards even cooler is that they reduce your carbon footprint and are environmentally friendly. As our cities suffer from smog and poor air quality, sustainable alternatives to travel are a necessary change.
The US Department of Energy has found that the average gasoline powered vehicle emits around 11,000 pounds of C02 equivalent per year.
At Revel, we are committed to this change by providing a viable option to decongesting roads and reducing pollution with high-performance electric vehicles.
In addition to all the reasons above, riding an electric skateboard is fun! Racing your friends, flying up and down hills, filming your adventures, and personalizing your setup are all part of the unique e-skate experience.
Skateboarding and longboarding alike have many health benefits, like building muscle, improving balance, and relieving stress. This study even found a correlation between active commuting (like electric skateboarding) and improved physical and mental wellbeing!
Ready to enjoy the ride for a change?
]]>This post will cover longboarding basics, as well as Revel electric skateboard specific questions to give you the most confidence when choosing your setup.
One of the best features of the Revel Kit is the ability to install it on a variety of decks. Navigating the different longboard shapes, sizes, and concaves to pair with the Revel electric skateboard kit has never been easier.
There are more skateboard and longboard shapes than we could possibly cover in one post. To give you an idea of the basics, we'll explore just a few of the most popular longboard shapes along with some pros and cons of each:
If you are new to skateboarding or consider yourself a beginner, we recommend going with a longer board. A long, pintail shape can be especially good for learning. The reason behind this is because a longboard has increased flex, better stability, and will help you get comfortable with turning. Once you progress, it's sure to keep up with you as you start to carve harder and handle more hills.
Most pintail decks should also have wheel wells, the subtle sections carved out of the deck on all four corners near the wheels. This helps avoid wheel bite, which is when a wheel comes into contact with the deck during a turn, abruptly stopping the forward motion.
While the pintail shape is often many people's first longboard shape, we consider any deck 37 inches and above enough length to provide all of the benefits listed above to those learning how to longboard.
Cruiser boards are often referred to as a hybrid of a longboard and skateboard. They offer a different skating experience, providing an exceptionally tight turning radius and gentle kick tail—perfect for weaving through busy sidewalks.
Usually, these compact skateboards are 32 inches or less in length, so they're suitable for those who have experience riding skateboards or are confident on a longer board.
Cutaways on all four corners and allow for plenty of rotation from the trucks while removing the potential for wheel bite. If you like to carve hard, longboard dance or just cruise along, this could be a great choice for a loose feel and plenty of range of motion.
Now to get technical. Drop-through longboard decks also feature cutaways on all four sides, but the name refers to the holes where you mount the trucks. Trucks are "dropped through" the deck and secured with the base plate on top.
The main advantage of drop-through decks is that it sits closer to the ground and the lowered platform allows for greater stability at high speeds.
The Revel electric skateboard kit works with drop-through longboarding decks and top-mount longboarding decks. When using a drop-through deck, you'll just need to make sure you buy truck cover plates to attach to the top.
Drop-down decks are not compatible, although a micro-drop can be corrected with the use of a riser.
Popsicle decks look the most like a regular street skateboard. Usually they have a kicktail on both sides and can range in size from looking like a regular skateboard to being as long as a longboard.
These decks are usually great for riders who are experienced on traditional skateboards. The double kicktail can be a bit unstable for those newer to longboarding, but great for those who know how to use them to pop small tricks, slides and sharp turns.
All in all, these are only suggestions and finding the right board for you will take some research and experimentation.
What is a skateboard's wheelbase? What length should I choose?
Bushings are some of the smallest items on your longboard, but offer the greatest benefits in terms of comfort and control. When customized to match your weight and riding style, your riding is set to improve drastically.
There are a few types of bushing shapes that are commonly used, which are standard, cone, and barrel shapes:
Durometer is the other important factor when choosing bushings, and sometimes is referred to as "hardness." Harder bushings provide more resistance (better for larger riders) and softer bushings provide less resistance (better for smaller riders).
Here is a chart guide for choosing appropriate bushings according to your ride style and weight class.
Revel Kits come pre-installed with a double barrel setup rated at 91a (medium) harness.
Speed is remote controlled and can be affected by many factors, such as rider weight, weather conditions, surface conditions, wheel choice, riding style and board setup. With that being said, the Revel Kit has been tested to go up to a top speed of 28mph in optimal conditions and even faster in a 4WD setup.
On the Revel remote, you can control your top speed and set your speed mode from four options:
We also recommend tracking your speed and other stats with MapMyRide, a free fitness tracking app equipped with a skateboarding mode, giving you the power to break down the science behind your skate sessions.
The Revel Kit comes with a set of black 90mm 74a wheels that are high quality and great for general riding.
For those who want to switch it up, our skateboard kit with direct-drive motors is compatible with most wheels featuring a ABEC 11 or Orangatang wheel core. Wheels range in diameter from 85mm all the way up to 120mm, so choosing what's right for you depends on your goals, whether it's more tread, stylish colors or top speed that you want.
Smaller wheels (85mm - 95mm) will give you better battery life for those long distance rides, while bigger wheels (100mm+) will allow you to achieve higher speeds when you're in the mood to race your friends.
Here are some of the most popular compatible wheels that our customers pair with the Revel Kit:
All of the wheel options above will go over bumps and cracks with ease, giving you a smooth and comfortable ride no matter where you take it.
The Revel motorized skateboard kit comes with both ABEC-11 and Orangatang adapters, allowing you to shred what you please. All new Revel Kits come with ABEC-11 adapters that are compatible with Discovery Cloudwheels right out of the box. No need to order extras.
The Revel Kit has two battery pack options. The Extended Range battery will have you riding up to 15 miles, while the Standard Range battery can last up to 10 miles. Both lithium batteries are the same size and are nearly identical in weight. The main reason our customers choose the Standard Range is for air travel.
With Revel's removable battery, there's no need to carefully plan your day around outlets for recharging. Carry a spare and swap an empty battery for a full one in seconds.
We also offer Revel Kit bundles for a special price when buying an electric skateboard from Revel with a spare battery, or when buying two Revel Kits at a time (whether you attach both to one board or want to set up two separate boards).
Yes, the Revel Standard Range battery was built for this purpose. According to the US Federal Aviation Administration and the International Air Transport Association, our 144wh Standard Range Electric Skateboard Battery is suitable for travel with prior airline approval.
